We view ourselves as your first line of defense against dental issues. When you come in for a checkup, you can count on several things.

Teeth cleaning. One of our hygienists will clean all of your teeth with special tools, and make an initial inspection before the dentist. They hygienist can also review your brushing and flossing, and answer most questions you have.
A thorough evaluation of your teeth and gums. This is primarily a visual inspection, but may involve other tests.
X-rays. These aren’t done at every checkup. They’re our best way to identify any abnormalities in the teeth and gums.
Minor procedures, such as filling a cavity. These may require a follow-up appointment. Like most issues, the sooner a cavity is discovered and filled, the better.

If we find a more serious issue we may be able to treat it, or may refer you to a specialist.
